Sunrooms

Renovations are often the ticket to getting homes for sale in Bolton sold in a slow market. No ordinary house can compete with one that has a newly renovated bathroom and kitchen. Except bathroom and kitchen renovations are so popular, chances are that most of the homes you're competing against will have them done as well. So what can you do to attract the attention of buyers? Do a renovation that seems like a luxury but actually isn't too hard on your budget, such as a sunroom.

A sunroom is a place where people can sit and enjoy the view outdoors around their Prince Edward Island real estate without actually having to sit outside and be exposed to the elements. This may not be such an issue in a warm climate, but the weather is bad here in Canada for about six months out of the year. Buyers will definitely appreciate being able to connect with the outdoors without getting soaked or freezing. Sometimes sunrooms are known as conservatories, solariums, or Florida Rooms.

You can create a sunroom out of an extra room in your house, such as a second family room, by replacing most of the wall space with windows. If you have a porch, you can also enclose it with glass to make a sunroom. Or you can create an entirely new addition to your Bolton real estate very simply by creating a greenhouse like glass structure on the outside of the home. Depending on your preference, you may also choose to create a glass roof as well. Talk to a contractor to see which options are possible on your property.

The point of sunrooms is to allow people to soak up the outside ambiance so the most important thing to remember when you're choosing a spot to build your sunroom is that it have a connection to outside and preferably a view. There's not much point in building a sunroom that looks onto the wall of the neighbors' North York homes, or in a yard where the sun is totally blocked out for most of the day by the shadow of a huge apartment complex.

As long as there's sunlight getting through, it doesn't matter as much about the view. You can always create a view by planting dense gardens around your Port Union homes that replace the normal views of fences and other people's homes. You might also consider adding some plants and patio furniture to stage the sunroom during viewings.
